Pathways to College Fundraising Campaign

Mile High Squash is a non-profit organization of students, volunteers, staff, board members, mentors, teachers, parents, and general supporters that leverages its resources, time, relationships, money, knowledge, friendship, determination, and agency - to help empower low-income, minority students in creating pathways to college. We understand that being "college bound" is a group effort. That is, students learn and prepare for their future in the context of their families, friends, school, and extended learning opportunities, along with a variety of other support mechanisms. Mile High Squash is an extension of each of these contexts, creating a strong support system that funds being "college bound."

The Pathways to College fundraising campaign reflects the understanding that being college bound is a group effort. Our goal is to raise $150,000.00 through thousands of $10 donations. Making a $10 donation to Mile High Squash is making an investment in our students’ future; it is becoming part of the group that stands behind our students, supporting them as they strive to become "college bound." It does not take much to have a significant impact on the life of another person; it just takes a collective and coordinated effort.

Mile High Squash is committed to helping low-income and minority students create a pathway to college. The Mile High Squash community is growing everyday: new volunteers, new students and families, new supporters, new mentors, and new board members, all of whom contribute, in a variety of ways, to the lives of Mile High Squash students. Please invest $10 toward the futures of the Mile High Squash students and consider if there are other ways that you can become involved in the lives of the Mile High Squash students.

The money raised in this effort directly benefits Mile High Squash. It will offset the costs associated with our program. Our staff, volunteers, mentors, teachers, board members, and parents work tirelessly to ensure that our students have access to all of the necessary resources to get to college. Mile High Squash runs 11 months a year and each student spends more than 425 hours of time with us. With a seven year commitment to Mile High Squash, each student will spend 77 months, just shy of 3000 hours, preparing for a future that includes college.
